(21/12-2010)Coastdesign Norway has taken advantage of the increasing number of specialised wind turbine installation vessels being built and operated, by securing Autoload orders from Fred.Olsen Windcarrier AS and Hochtief Construction. The vessels are used in the construction and maintenance of wind turbine farms. Autoload onboard stability software has been selected by these companies because, in addition to having a robust hydrostatics engine that takes care of all the standard stability analysis and reports required for classification, Autoload’s specialised 3D cargo planning, deck crane modules and jack-up features are especially useful and important for this new breed of vessel.

(25/08-2010)The Paris Memorandum on Port State Control which will start a concentrated inspection campaign on the 1st September through to the 30th November 2010 to verify that tanker operators are complying with damage stability regulations has brought a surge of orders and enquiries for our 3D based onboard loading computer Autoload.

Autoload SPS Break Bulk is general cargo stowage planning software. This revolutionary software oprimizes cargo stowage, and also monitors seaworthiness. Autoload SPS Break Bulk is a total voyage-based program, and thus provides control of ship's loading throughout the complete voyage.
Autoload SPS Break Bulk includes two modules: Cargo Management and Hydrostatics. The cargo management module can be purchased separately.

Cargo Management Module
The Cargo Management module includes a booking list, a complete profile of all holds, and a detailed view of any selected hold. Sort and filter cargo information in the booking list. A commodity database including cargo reference information (for example cargo dimensions, stowage factor, and basic stowage rules) can be easily expanded by the user. Over 40 user-defined hydrostatic values can be viewed while remaining within the Cargo Management module.
Cargo Loading.
Loading cargo in the cargo management module is easy, fast, and efficient. Stowage methods include lift, unit and stowage factor. Loading can be automatic or user-defined. Automatic loading from the booking list into a given hold is accomplished by dragging the cargo from the booking list window, and dropping it into one of the holds. Autoload SPS Break Bulk then places the cargo in the hold to achieve the best utilization of cargo space. If user-defined loading is preferred, the operator can select the quantity to be solved, hold position, stowage method, and even re-define stowage rules. An over-stowage condition is automatically identified and marked on-screen by cross-hatching of the cargo. The operator then has the option to accept the condition, or re-stow the cargo.
Hydrostatic Module
The hydrostatic module enables vessel operators to perform trim, stability and strength calculations for any load condition in port and at sea. The main window shows profile, plan and body plan views of the ship in the loaded condition, as well as calculated hydrostatic values. The Hydrostatic module calculates stability as fuel and consumables are used, makes use of optimal ballast, and evaluates strength and stability in intact, damaged or grounded conditions. A comparison of the vessel condition can be made against preset strength and stability limits. All calculation results are derived from first principles, which means that the results are accurate at any displacement and at any angle of trim or heel.
Onboard installations of Autoload SPS Break Bulk can include an interface with tank and draft sensors. This interface allows real time monitoring of tank loading and drafts. Sensor connections can be taken offline in case of reading errors, or if the program operator wishes to simulate "what-if" scenarios.
