Coastdesign Norway has taken advantage of the increasing number of specialised wind turbine installation vessels being built and operated, by securing Autoload orders from Fred.Olsen Windcarrier AS and Hochtief Construction. The vessels are used in the construction and maintenance of wind turbine farms. Autoload onboard stability software has been selected by these companies because, in addition to having a robust hydrostatics engine that takes care of all the standard stability analysis and reports required for classification, Autoload’s specialised 3D cargo planning, deck crane modules and jack-up features are especially useful and important for this new breed of vessel.

Odfjell choose Autoload for their new rig Deepsea Stavanger.

Autoload is online to Kongsberg IAS for reading tank (and void) fillings, drafts, mooring loads and all other loads measured by sensors.

GVA Consulting in Gotheborg have designed the new Odfjell rig, sister of Deepsea Atlantic, also equipped with Autoload.

GVA are experienced users of our stability analysis program Autohydro for almost 20 years.

Autoload vessel database is therefore developed by the rig designers.

Kjell Hansen, responsible for rig stability at Odfjell says:
“Autoload have been installed on all our rigs, we have now more than 10 years of experience with the product and the service from Coastdesign, Norway. Using Autoload office version to communicate daily stability issues with our rigs works perfect for us. Daily loading conditions are being exchanged by mail, so we can evaluate the exact same situation in office as onboard the rig. Coastdesigns  24 / 7  free service over these years has been excellent.
