(21/12-2010)Coastdesign Norway has taken advantage of the increasing number of specialised wind turbine installation vessels being built and operated, by securing Autoload orders from Fred.Olsen Windcarrier AS and Hochtief Construction. The vessels are used in the construction and maintenance of wind turbine farms. Autoload onboard stability software has been selected by these companies because, in addition to having a robust hydrostatics engine that takes care of all the standard stability analysis and reports required for classification, Autoload’s specialised 3D cargo planning, deck crane modules and jack-up features are especially useful and important for this new breed of vessel.

Coastdesign Norway AS is pleased to announce the installation of Autoload - rig version, on Gjøa, for monitoring and simulation of the rigs stability. Autoload is online to Kongsberg IAS for reading tank (and void) fillings, drafts, mooring loads and all other loads measured by sensors.
Gjøa is Statoils latest production rig, designed by Aker, and built at Aker Solutions Stord.
Aker Sollution has been using Autohydro for stability analysis trough the design of the rig. Autohydro and Autoload share the mathematical engine and database. Autoload vessel database is therefore developed by the rig designers, having almost 20 years experience with our software.

Staoil has decided to use Autoload as their standard loading computer on all their rigs and FPSOs. Staoil have a long term contract with “MARTEK - Maritimt Teknisk Resurssenter” in Trondheim for stability training, with use of Autoload, for all their marine operators. 3D model of Gjøa
Gjøa's recoverable reserves are approximately 82 million barrels of oil and condensate and roughly 40 billion standard cubic metres of gas. More than 200 km of pipeline are to be layed at Gjoa as well as the cable that is going to supply the platform with power from shore. It will be the first floating platform to get its electricity from the mainland. This will mean a yearly reduction in emissions to the environment of 250,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide.
