Stena Drilling Limited of Aberdeen, a wholly owned subsidiary of Stena AB, Gothenburg, Sweden have ordered AutoLoad for use on their semi-submersible rigs - Stena Spey and Stena Clyde

- Read More Coastdesign secures several new Autoload orders for Jack-up offshore wind turbine installation vessels. (21/12-2010)

Coastdesign Norway has taken advantage of the increasing number of specialised wind turbine installation vessels being built and operated, by securing Autoload orders from Fred.Olsen Windcarrier AS and Hochtief Construction. The vessels are used in the construction and maintenance of wind turbine farms. Autoload onboard stability software has been selected by these companies because, in addition to having a robust hydrostatics engine that takes care of all the standard stability analysis and reports required for classification, Autoload’s specialised 3D cargo planning, deck crane modules and jack-up features are especially useful and important for this new breed of vessel.

The Paris Memorandum on Port State Control which will start a concentrated inspection campaign on the 1st September through to the 30th November 2010 to verify that tanker operators are complying with damage stability regulations has brought a surge of orders and enquiries for our 3D based onboard loading computer Autoload.

Frode Myklebust

Frode Myklebust, Manager Coastdesign Norway AS

M.Sc. in Naval architecture from Norwegian Technical University in Trondheim, 1984. Worked for Aker Engineering for several years with stability, hydrodynamics and mooring analysis for Aker design semi-submersibles. Frode has worked for Coastdesign Norway since 1987, manager since 1991. He has expert knowledge of hull design and fairing, hydromechanics and stability and extensive experience of using, supporting and developing the full Autoship range of software.

Tamara Milosevic


Tamara Milosevic, Coastdesign Norway AS

B.Sc. in naval architecture from Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Belgrade University, Serbia. Tamara has many years of shipyard experience before joining Coastdesign Norway in 1999. She is today managing our production team, producing 3D vessel models and ship specific database and approval reports.

Kristoffer Thyholdt

Kristoffer Thyholdt, Coastdesign Norway AS

B. SC in Naval engineering from Sør-Trøndelag University College in Trondheim. Educated as a computer technician with 2 years experience from administering a complete network at Croftholmen college. Wrote a bachlor degree for optimizing the Autohydro software. Been working for Krohne Skarpenord for two years with automation systems involving sensor equipment for tank level monitoring.

Gunnar Solheim

Gunnar Solheim, Coastdesign Norway AS

M.Sc. in Naval architecture from Norwegian Technical University in Trondheim, 1975. Worked as assistant project leader cargo ships at Bergen Shipyards for a couple of years. Teached at Ålesund Technical University head of Marine division for several years. Founded Coastdesign Norway in 1986 and became main European dealer for Autoship System Coorp in Vancouver. Currently responisble for the Spanish and German markets at Coastdesign Norway.
