(21/12-2010)Coastdesign Norway has taken advantage of the increasing number of specialised wind turbine installation vessels being built and operated, by securing Autoload orders from Fred.Olsen Windcarrier AS and Hochtief Construction. The vessels are used in the construction and maintenance of wind turbine farms. Autoload onboard stability software has been selected by these companies because, in addition to having a robust hydrostatics engine that takes care of all the standard stability analysis and reports required for classification, Autoload’s specialised 3D cargo planning, deck crane modules and jack-up features are especially useful and important for this new breed of vessel.

Experience
We have 20 years of experience selling and supporting the Autoship
Systems software. We listen carefully to our clients and have a
very close relationship with Autoship Systems Corporation, where we
play an important role in improving and developing the software. In
particular, we contribute to the specifications for new releases
and also new codes.
Education / Training
Over the years we have organised many training seminars for new
users, helping out applying the software on one of their own
projects. Projects which are directly related to their daily work,
so that our clients very quickly get up to speed with using the
software.
Support
In addition, we put a lot of effort into supporting our clients so
that they can get the best out of their software. We also organise
user seminars when new software is released or when major changes
have been implemented.
Consultancy services
Autoship Norway provides consultancy services, mainly within
stability and hydrodynamic analysis, hull design and fairing, plate
expansion, speed prediction and development of 3D databases. Using
most of the Autoship software on a daily basis means that we can
offer fast and extensive support to our clients as well as supply
valuable input for the software development.
Software
Our ship design software suite,
built around the Autoship hull design programme is very well
renowned. Today we have some 2000 users world-wide. We offer
complete and integrated software solution for shipyard, ship
owners, offshore companies as well as maritime consultants.
With our DNV, NMD and Lloyds approved stability software Autohydro
as a basis, we started developing the onboard loading computer
Autoload five years ago. Today, with high demands for loading
computers worldwide, Autoload represents a growing part of our
activities. We have also developed products around Autoload for
total integrated ship planning, so that we can provide shipping
companies and terminals with ship planning and management solutions
which both improved cargo handling efficiencies and fully integrate
planning operations into the real-time logistical chain.
Autoload is available in versions suitable for any vessel type and,
most importantly, can handle any type or combination of cargo. We
have delivered systems ranging from an integrated ship planning
system for the complete Wallenius Wilhelmsen fleet to a integrated
onboard stability solution for Thunderhorse - the biggest
semi-submersible rig ever built. At present, Autoload is used as
the loading computer of choice onboard more than 700 vessels.
